All winners of the nominated heats shall be exempt from any ballot in the final. Excess horses, if any shall be eliminated in the following order: - Horses that have not competed in a picnic race in the current season. - Horses that have competed in the series but have not earned points, according to handicappers' picnic assessment, lowest first, in such a manner as prescribed by the Rules of Racing. - Horses that have earned points in the series, horses with the least number of points first. In the event of two or more horses having an equal number of points, preference will be given to the higher assessed horse(s).Horses on equal points and the same picnic assessment will be eliminated in order of total prize money received in flat races, lowest first. Horses on equal points, same picnic assessment and which have accrued equal total prize money in flat races will be eliminated by lot. SuperVOBIS and other bonuses will not be taken into account. For the purposes of these conditions any horse which is a final acceptor for a picnic race abandoned after final acceptances have closed shall be deemed to have started in the race. Further any horse nominated for a picnic race abandoned after nominations have closed but prior to final acceptances being taken shall be deemed to have started in the race. POINTS ALLOCATION (ALL HEATS): 1st 6 points, 2nd 4 points, 3rd 2 points, 4th 1 point. Only horses that have earned points in the heats are eligible to win bonuses in the final.
